Drishyam.TV, First Free Malayalam Television Channel on the Internet, announces short film competition. Rs. 10,000.00 cash prize for the best film adjudged. Closing date June 30, 2009. Drishyam.tv invites filmmakers/producers to submit entries.

Guidelines

• Competition is held for short fiction films of duration 40 minutes or under.
• The contest is open to all Indian nationals (including NRIs) and no age limit is set for the filmmaker.
• Films made in any Indian language or English are eligible.
• All films produced after January 2000 are admitted for consideration.
• Name, address, contact number and e-mail address of the filmmaker should accompany each entry.
  The filmmaker is free to furnish any further details regarding the work.
• There is no entry fee.
• A cash prize of Indian Rupees 10000 (ten thousand) will be given to the best short film selected.
  (The prize money to be shared between Producer and Director of the film.)
• Entries should arrive no later than 30 June 2009. The results will be announced after 15 August 2009 through
  our website Drishyam.tv.
• More than one entry from a filmmaker/producer is permitted. But the DVD should be labelled clearly about the contents.
• By submitting the film to the contest, the sender is declaring that he/she holds the legal right to do so and absolve
  LiveEyes Media Pvt. Ltd. or the websites owned by the company from any copyright/intellectual right violation.
• Copies of the short film in a usable format viz. DVD, VCD, miniDV (in PAL) should only be submitted.
• Films in languages other than English, Hindi, Tamil & Malayalam should be subtitled in English or dialogue list in
  English send alongwith.
• All entries should be sent only by Courier or "Registered post Acknowledgment due' .All postage costs and duties are
  responsibilities of the sender.
• LiveEyes Media Pvt. Ltd. is not responsible for loss or damage of the film copy and other materials sent.
  Copies sent will not be returned. Acknowledgment of receipt of film copies shall be done through e-mail, if provided.
• A panel of judges shall select the best short film. The decision of the jury is final and binding and no appeal in this
  regard shall be entertained.
• Along with the short film copy, the participant should give LiveEyes Media Pvt. Ltd., the permission to broadcast/stream
  the film in one or more sites through the Internet as well as mobile phone and also in all promotional events of
  media operations undertaken by the company. The consent letter should accompany the entry copy of the film.
  Even in the absence of such a letter, your submission gives LiveEyes Media Pvt. Ltd. the right to
  broadcast/stream the film via our websites.
• LiveEyes Media Pvt Ltd. holds the sole arbitrary right to alter, modify, cancel the rules and regulations of the contest.
